04 AprWhat happens if I need to cancel?

A wedding cancellation does not necessarily mean that the bride or groom have changed their mind. Cancellations can occur due to illness, death in the family or other unforeseen circumstances that require a delay in your wedding plans.

Many couples choose to have cancellation insurance for such contingencies and it is well worth the investment if you consider the cost involved. If you have not chosen this option, you may lose some or all of your deposits and may be committed to payment of the entire amount if you provide limited advance notice.

It’s a wise idea to carefully read this clause of any contracts before signing so at least you know if insurance is a good idea. Depending on the time of year and the amount of advance notice you provide, service providers may be willing to accommodate a change of dates with a minimal amount of additional expense. It is not the same in case of a cancellation which will most certainly cost some if not all any prepayment.
